The enemy has unleashed a powerful weapon of fear against the body of Christ and it is time for us to make a stand, I am astounded at the number of Christians who continually post negative fear-filled articles.
We need to rise up in the anointing of God and refuse to respond like the world’s system. In times of crisis we need to feed our faith not the fear strategy of the world. Whatever we give voice to will control our thoughts, behavior and ultimately our destiny.

For instance, a couple of years ago I wrote about the book Ruth. I believe the principles of that ancient time are still applicable to us today. When a famine hit Bethlehem those who were called to lean hard on their covenant with God, took the easy way out, and left home. It is unfortunate to read how Elimelech could not accept or believe that God would bless him and enable him to be fruitful during a famine.

In the United States we are not in a time of famine but fears are  causing havoc among the church and throughout the world. This ought not to be! Through our prayers we can make a difference. Bethlehem was known as a place of bread and praise. As Christians when we are rooted deep in the things of God we are able to tap into the provision of God in times of uncertainty. While Elimelech was leaving town in fear, another man named Boaz was putting down deep roots in the Spirit. At the end Boaz was known as a wealthy man and fully inherited every blessing.

Elimelech left the place of praise and bread and began to die. He died spiritually first and it was manifested in the natural a little later. When we are wise we reap the benefits. When we are foolish, we reap the consequences along with our family members. It takes the faith of God to remain steady during difficult times.

I believe the Lord has a plan for us. In order to fulfill our destiny it is necessary to see the will of God. He has made provision for us to overcome every trap and snare that is set before us. If we are wise we daily seek His face for direction and guidance. I pray for the peace of God to overtake you. Speak to fear and command it to leave. Today we choose to be like Boaz of old or Elimelech. I choose to put the force of perseverance into action in my life and be led by His Holy Spirit. I pray you will too!!
