Do you realize our God is concerned about the little things in life? If He is concerned about the details, how much more should we consider the little things of life like He does!Faithfulness is one of the characteristics of our God. His faithfulness provides a bridge or a link between the past and our future. For instance, a couple of days ago, we had snow flurries in my little Southern Texas town for the second time this winter. It is rare to have snow in our part of the country and people were so excited. Facebook posts were filled with the news. It was a little thing but huge news here. Every snow flake has its own design and as small as it is, it is unique to the heart of God.
I want to encourage you to pay attention to the smallest things in your own life. You are unique and I believe our God has a good plan for each of us. We need to take care of the little things that have huge implications in our purpose in life. Psalms 31:23 says, “the Lord preserves the faithful.” When we develop faithfulness in our character it is like having a crowbar in the spirit realm. It can wedge apart and open things that have been nailed shut. In 2018 let’s pay attention to the little things in our lives, praying for others, reading our Bibles, encouraging one another. One day we will see the rewards of our devotion to our little details.
